From Santiago and the Atacama Desert to the glaciers, mountains and open roads of Patagonia
Experience two of Chile’s greatest contrasts in one carefully designed journey. Begin with Santiago before flying north to the surreal landscapes of the Atacama Desert, where guided excursions reveal salt flats, high-altitude lagoons and steaming geysers. Continue by air to Punta Arenas and collect your rental car for an unforgettable one-way drive through southern Patagonia. Explore the Strait of Magellan, Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine at your own pace, with time for boat excursions, wildlife and some of South America’s most dramatic scenery.

This is a hybrid fly-drive itinerary. Atacama touring is organised locally; the rental-car section begins in Punta Arenas. Domestic flights and major excursions should be confirmed before the hotels and car are finalised.
The Santiago–Calama–Santiago and Santiago–Punta Arenas flights are not included unless explicitly selected and priced in the final package.
The rental car begins in Punta Arenas on Day 7 and is returned at Puerto Natales Airport on Day 14. One-way fees and kilometre limits depend on the confirmed supplier.
Atacama excursions reach high altitude. Travellers with medical concerns should consult a doctor and allow time to acclimatise.
Boat trips, park access and some roads are weather-dependent. Alternative arrangements may be necessary when conditions prevent the planned activity.
